Notification of Intent to Operate New Seasonal Housing for International Agricultural Workers

Every owner/operator who intends to provide seasonal housing for migrant farm workers for the first time shall notify Durham Region Health Department in writing of their intent.

  1. Complete the application form and submit to Durham Region Health Department no later than 6 weeks prior to the arrival of the migrant farm workers.
  2. Contact Durham Region Health Department to arrange for an inspection at least 14 days prior to migrant farm workers arriving.

Note: Please ensure that all housing requirements have been met prior to inspection, otherwise the seasonal housing accommodation will not be approved.
