Share your home child care photos!

Durham Region’s Best Start Network Home Child Care Sub-Committee is collecting photos of licensed home child care environments to help families and the community better understand what home child care looks like.   

Your photos may be used to highlight the welcoming, engaging, and enriching experiences that home child care offers. 

What we are looking for 
Photos of:        

• Indoor learning environments        
• Outdoor play spaces        
• Learning materials and invitations to play        
• Creative activities and program areas        
• Home child care setups that showcase quality and engagement 

Important 
Photos must not include children.  

Please ensure that children's faces, bodies, names, personal information, or other identifying details do not appear in any submitted photos. JPEG format is suggested. 

How photos may be used        

• Durham Region Child Care and Early Years web page        
• Social media posts        
• Flyers, brochures, and promotional materials        
• Quality Measures Tool resources 

Submission timeline  
To support upcoming initiatives, we encourage photo submissions by August 1, 2026. However, we will continue to accept photos throughout the year for future projects and resources.

Consent required
A Photo Consent Form must be completed and submitted for all photos before they can be used.
